What we’ll cover: Updating your PPP username for use with Wi-Manx VDSL-Plus (VDSL+).
Note: Using a VDSL username (@vdsl.manxbroadband.com) is restricted to 40Mbps. Please contact us to enquire about upgrading to Velocity-Plus or for more information.
Step 1
- Confirm that a LAN or WLAN connection has been established to the modem.
- Open your preferred web browser, e.g., Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.
- Enter the following number into the address bar and then hit Enter on your keyboard:
- 192.168.178.1 (this is known as an IP Address)
Step 2
- There is no administration password set by default when the router is provided by Wi-Manx
- If you have set up login details yourself, please enter the correct details now.
If the default administrative username/password is not working, it is likely it has been changed from the default setting.
If you do not know what the password has been changed to, you will need to either factory reset the device and repeat this section or contact Wi-Manx Support.
Step 3
- Click Internet from the menu to the left of the screen.
- Click Account Information from the left hand menu to access the Account Information
Step 4
- Under the section Account Informationenter your VDSL+ account Information as provided by Wi-Manx (including @vdslplus.wm.im).
Congratulations! You have successfully configured your Internet service for Wi-Manx VDSL-Plus.
